ASIAN HERITAGE TRAIL

Asians first came to the Protectorate of Uganda in the 1890 to build a railway linking the landlocked country to the cost. Traders soon followed, and an Asian community began to flourish, becoming the backbone of the Ugandan economy. Explore the Asian heritage of Kampala, Jinja, Tororo and Mbale; all towns along the eastern trade route. During our six day tour, experience the architecture, cuisine and industry in each of the four towns, and discover the history of the people who established them.
