What should I bring?

Uganda has a tropical climate, which is sunny and wet. We recommend bringing clothing that is comfortable and cool. Bring sun screen for the day, and mosquito repellent for the evening.

Changing Horizons provides drinks and lunch on each of our tours. For our overnight tours, breakfast is provided at the hotel, and is included in the tour cost, but customers are responsible for dinner, so bring local currency with you. Money can be exchanged at the airport or in town.

What vaccination are recommended for the tours?

The yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into Uganda, so travellers must bring proof of immunisation. We strongly advise that people take malaria prophylaxis during their trip. Otherwise, we recommend that visitors consult with a healthcare professional in their home country as to what vaccinations they require to travel.
